New Global 4500 software 2.19

BIOLABO GROUP is proud to introduce you KENZA 450 TX/ISE & GLOBAL 4500/7500 DR new software release named R.2.19.

After a huge work and collaboration between software engineers, development department and support department, this new version has been designed to allow you to experiment new functionalities and more working comfort. It also increases instruments performances for more and more improvement of the quality of analysis.

Of course, we did our maximum to include all your remarks and demands regarding the software. Please note that we remain available to hear your suggestions regarding software use and functionalities.

The new version software is now available on BIOLABO  & BPC  websites.

 What are the improvements of the new software release?


  •  When the software is turned off, the cuvettes tray is filled with water, this is to improve the performance of the cuvettes.
  •  When the software starts, the cuvette tray is washed to remove the water left at last power off and to avoid an overflow after a power blackout for example.
  •  These 2 procedures are done a part from the routine, when software is launched or switched off, they do not affect starting and finishing cycles which remain very short.
  •  Time to launch external program as Patient and Methods has been hugely reduced for more fluid and clearer navigation.
  •  A double descend on tube D and E was added. This is to increase the repeatability of the aspiration of the reagents.
  •  The routine used to exchange the data with LIS has been improved and now it is possible to use up to 12 characters for ID for an easiest handling.
  •  Several terms, translations, drawings and titles of message boxes were adjusted.
  •  An initial warming-up cycle was added to uniform the working conditions.
  •  Some monitoring features were added in the log file for a better follow up of the system.
  •  Some error messages were improved.


  •  During the routine, the possibility to specify the position of a sample in a position greater than 80 is now blocked, to avoid wrong pipetting.
  •  The button to delete the samples in 'patient entry' is now in the main bar and no longer in the left bar for a more intuitive navigation.
  •  The names of the Westgard rules are described more precisely, for a better understanding.
  •  The research on the patient archive is no longer case sensitive.
  •  The visualization of the cuvette number in the analysis OD details was adjusted.
  •  In the patient list, it is possible to zoom on the reaction curve in order to see the movements with more accuracy.


  •  The adding time range for R2 and R3 is now enlarged up to 320 secs for more flexibility of the programming.
  •  The incompatibility rules are now applied on the last 3 samples with the needle and the last 5 tests performed in the cuvettes to protect the tests from any contamination.
  •  The diluent used for the warming cycle is the first available from the selected tests. If there is no diluent available the water of the system will be used.
  •  On the option 'build curve' the setting of 'descend on sample' is used to aspirate the serum. This ensures better performances in curve preparation.
  •  Some buttons positions were modified for more intuitive navigation.
  •  There is now the possibility to use a specific cleaning reagent to clean the cuvettes for specific tests to keep the best performance of the cuvettes.
  •  The calculated methods formula was reviewed and adjusted.
  •  For ISE module, the ranges check on ISE tests and the automatic dispatch of controls test were improved.

Level sensor

  •  Level detection during routine was improved to increase accuracy and sensitivity.


  • When entering the Service menu at least once before switching off the software, the cuvettes will not be filled with water. This is to allow the cuvettes to remain without water in case of transportation of the analyzer or for any other reasons requiring empty cuvettes when analyzer is switched off.
  •  The acceptability range for 2nd point of volume calibration on vial D was increased to allow an easier calibration of vial D type.
  •  The speed of the dilutor R2 in the settings form was reviewed.
  •  To allow an easier setting for the position of the arm on sample and controls, the needle runs a deeper descend.
  •  The function that returns an error if microcontroller zero error happened during the mechanical reset has been increased for an easier diagnostic.
  •  In the Service menu there is the possibility to test the dilutors by moving randomly the mechanical parts, it is a tool to diagnose the instruments.[SB3] [LP4]
  •  The 'out of range' error message about the Eeprom values are now all in English.
  •  The auto zero module can show readings using different types of comparison for a better diagnostic.
  •  The tamp test is only checked when entering in 'set steps' menu.
  •  It is now possible to run completely the software in demo mode without having a tamp alert.
